How It Works
Start the Conversation
Upload artwork/inspiration if you have it, or simply tell us the vibe, occasion, and/or placement ideas.
Digital Mockup
We’ll create a digital mockup that shows estimated size, thread colors, and placement on your chosen piece. We’ll collaborate with you to refine the design until it feels just right.
Mockup Approval
You’ll review and approve the mockup before anything moves forward. Once approved, we prepare your piece for stitching.
Sample Creation (When Needed)
For larger orders, detailed designs, or branded projects, we’ll stitch a physical sample.
You’ll receive photos to confirm scale, placement, and overall look before full production.
Production Begins
After sample approval (if applicable), we begin full production of your order.
Delivered To You
Your custom piece ships from The Thread Lab, ready to wear, gift, or keep forever.
A few things to know
🧵 Custom spots are limited
Because each design is digitized and produced in-house, availability is limited to ensure quality.
🕒 Turnaround time: 2–4 weeks
Depending on the design and the garment, most customs are ready to ship within a couple of weeks. If you need something faster, just let us know. We'll always keep you in the loop along the way. Heavily detailed designs, multiple placements, or larger quantities may require additional time and cost.
💸 Pricing
Each project is unique, so pricing depends on your design’s complexity and the garment you choose. Simple words? Quick. Detailed doodle? A bit more time and thread. Let’s chat and we'll give you a quote.
